Robbery or Foolishness

     "I never imagined the cops could do that to a child. We're traumatized. Imagine how I felt seeing my son in handcuffs. It was horrible. I couldn't believe what I was seeing," said by Wilson Mendez mother, when she found out her son was arrested for 5 dollars. Her son was accused of stealing then fighting for money. However, these allegations were false; her son did not do anything to deserve any of the wrongdoings that came about. The NYPD interogated Mendez for ten hours after they charged him for robbery. The NYPD claimed "If we didn't handcuff him and he ran out the front door, then we would have had an escaped prisoner on our hands." For a seven year old, really? What could a seven year old do to the police? They treated this young boy like he was a "hardened criminal." "He  was handcuffed and verbally, physically and emotionally abused, intimidated, humiliated, embarrassed and defamed," said the suit. Wilson cried out to his mother,  'Mommy, it wasn't me! Mommy, it wasn't me!'"  This young boy had to prove his innocence to his mother. An experience like this traumatized this boy tremendously to the point that his mother sued NYPD for 250 million dollars. Was this overboaard or sensible? This all cME bAfter all of this unneccesary drama the city's law department ended up dropping the robbery charge against Wilson and and court documents said another classmate later admitted to the theft.

What is A real man?

  Can a man cry?Does a couple of tears  prevent a man from being a real man? Not necessarily, Most of the gangsters  that is out there today cry and  some of them are not even real men. It takes much more to be a man then some tear drops coming down the face. A man takes care of his responsibility without anyone telling him too, a man stands tall as a tree and knows what he wants, a  man makes a future for him and his family.

   To begin, there are many men out there that are taking care of their responsibilities whether it is children or his family so the saying there are no good men out there is an opinion. However, it is some men who will not come to reality and stand up and take care of their responsibilities.  They will run as far as possible so that they can not spend their time on other things other than themselves. Not only do they not take care of their family but they will not take care of themselves. Some may stay in their parents house for along periods of times maybe until they may die and that is a pitiful case of a grown boy. A grown boy is boy whose age is grown but they are not acting their age. A man's belief is to work and earn to make a living not be given.

      In conclusion, It is not always men fault that they are lazy; it could be the parents or the spouse fault. I man will do what you let him do. I grown boy can always turn into a real man. A male baby does not come out the womb and know that he was meant to be a man. He has to be taught how to b a real man. On the other hand a man holds his fate and future in his hand.

Barack Obama

        Yes we can!! I can finally  say that I look like my own president. President Barack Obama was elected president November 4,2008; it was a tremendous change in everyone's lives.  Tears were shed, guns were shot and, hymns were song.  People have been waiting for this day since slavery. Barack showed everyone that you can accomplish anything no matter what color you are.  I was proud to know that I was living to hear that my very own president is African American.  He gives a presence that makes a person feel like, hey I can talk to this guy.  For example, he was not that close with his father and still made it through with his life. Alot of people can relate to him in that situation. Moreover, he speaks confidently and with such elegance.  He shows that not ALL black men are killers,robbers, and dumb;he changed people's perspective of the stereotypes of black men. He shows that a black man or any other man can come from a home without a father and still be successful.  Barack Obama has been talked about in plenty occasions, his race, his backgrounds, and etc., but nevertheless he came in and took up for himself and did it with so much pride. It was like he was saying I may be the president but I am a man first.   
          Barack Obama is a man trying to make  better lives for people.  Some may be mad and some may be dissapointed that he is president, but I am encouraging Obama to do what he thinks is best for everyone and not just certain people. He made this clear in his debates as well. I can not say it enough that I am very elated that I have an African American persident. This was an historical time because no one ever thought that we would have a black president. In addition, he is on his 2nd term. Never say Never!

  

Seriously lady?

         I know the election was an intense time in the world but, geesh, it does not cause for you to cause harm to someone because they did not vote. I am referring to a lady/wife,in Arizona, who ran her husband over just because he did not vote. She did not want Obama to win because she said she would  ''face hardship" in the next years. There is so many things wrong with what she did, there is not a specific point to start at first.
        To begin with why would you run over your husband because he did not want to vote, that shows a lot about her character. It shows for one that she is controlling and have anger issues. Realistically speaking, that is just one vote and that would not have made a difference anyway, so what is the point for the violence? Obama still won rather you wanted him to or not. That was just some nonsense to run over your husband, you got that angry and scared that you took it out on your own husband.From what I know Obama wanted everyone to elevate their living situation to a better situation so In my eyes she was overreacting.  Then, she had the temerity to say it was an accident. Yea, it happens all the time when you mix up the gas from the brake especially when you are chasing someone in the car; it happens all the time. I think not!
      People are saying all the time that a change needs to come but when it is a time for a change people want to go crazy. Be careful what you wish for because it might come true. This lady did all of that for something she had no control over and is now arrested.  I was happy that Obama won and conqured everyone who talked bad about him and did everytthing to bring him down.  I support and challenge him to prove the haters wrong. To this  angry lady were you facing a hardship these last four years when he was president?

Reality Shows

             Mostly everyone loves them, its the topic of the week and you can never miss them, you guessed right, reality shows. Many people watch reality shows such as Bad Girls Cub Basketball Wives,and T.I and Tiny.  It gives you the suspense of wanting to watch it more and more. Honestly, its more things you can do but, it keeps you occupied and your eyes glued to the T.V screen. If anything can have your attention for 30 minutes to an hour it is those reality shows. Its amazing how a show can get your attention so much more than anything else. The fights, arguments, and the best part of any show is the reunion are the things people look forward to seeing, if it is not any one of those then it is a family with those things in it. Reality shows will get you to do the oohs,ahhhs and dangs. Also, these reality shows will make you mad and want to jump through the T.V.   For instance, In Bad Girls' Club , it was a deceiving woman on there and us as audience know whats going on but the people in the show do not know and it makes them look stupid which makes the audience livid and want to fight themselves. It is like the audience is in the show because the main things I hear is If that was me or she/he stupid i would  have seen that coming. However, people miscontrude that the whole point of reality shows is that the they are reality and how people think and act.  In most cases,people can relate to the things that go on in a reality show at least one time no matter how much you do not like a show.  Apparently, reality shows are not going anywhere because just one show is getting over one million ratings. All 

I have to say is if you do not like reality shows change the channel but, you do not know what you are missing.

Is Marriage for Me?

       Marriage is the social institution under which a man and a woman establish their decision to live as a wife and husband by legal commitment, religious ceremonies. Being married consist of monogamy,consideration and patience. By saying all of this it takes work to be in a marriage; it means that you should be with that particular person forever. To sum it all up you  have to make sure the person you want to be with is the person you do not mind spending the rest of your life with. I say all this to say I am not ready for marriage at the age of 16.
      Marriage is like a job to me because you have to do everything you can to keep it. For example, if you have a job and love it you will do auxiliary things just to keep it, the same thing applies to a marriage. At my age that is too much because I have my whole life ahead of me to think about marriage, do not get me wrong I do want to get married but, not at this age. I want to go to college and start my own business, I would not have time to be a good wife at that time of my life. Statistically speaking, it says that a woman that gets married at the age of 25 is four times better than an 18 year old getting married. Meaning the odds for an eighteen year old marriage is not likely to succeed.  Also, in my age group I don't meet many boys that I can see myself with for the rest of my life. Many boys at my age are immature, impatient, and are not faithfull; I do not have time for the tears and the games. Honestly, I know how I am and I know that I will get bored very easily and get a divorce. First off, we paid for the wedding and honeymoon and then we didn't make it, that was a waste of money, my time and his time. I'm just not ready for marriage and do not want to be tied down. This is the prime of my life, I am going to graduate next year and start my life off as an adult.   The best thing for me to do is take my time and not find the perfect one but the perfect one for me. 
    

Chik-fil-a Controversy

 

        Mcdonalds, Burger king, Checkers, and Chik-fil-a are some fast food restaurants I have been eating at almost my whole life. I have been eating fast food since I was at least 3 and never had a problem with any of the fast food restaurants, obviously because I was too young to understand what was going on in the world. The more I grew up, found out, and understood what was going on in the wold I gained my own opinion.The president of Chik-fil-a,Dan Cathey, is a God fearing Christian who does not support same sex marriage and also did an interview on it. He stated " that when it comes to legalizing same sex marriage ,"I think we are inviting God's judgement on our Nation when we shake our fist at Him and say we know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage," and as I read this I noticed he is gaining more customers who are Christians and people who hate him, which are mainly homosexuals. Honestly, I feel like who is Dan Cathey to sit there and say what he said and think there was nothing wrong with it; I find a lot wrong with that statement by itself.
          For one, how can you bring God in a situation and say the homosexuals think they know better than God when he is speaking as if he knows exactly what God wants. As a result, they made up a Same Sex Kiss Day to really prove a point. I feel like he was brave enough to say what he said because Religion and Homosexuality is a very controversial topic, then he was brave enough to come with the territory that he provided. Quite frankly, I think he brought it on himself. However, I do too understand where he is coming from, he doesn't believe in same sex marriage and he is standing by it which everyone should do when they believe in something. However, his customers are homosexuals and he is not making it a comfortable place for them to come and enjoy their food by saying that satement. Instead its creating a hostile environment. People want to feel comfortable and safe when they go to any kind of restaurant. Don't you? I know I do. To some it all up you get what you ask for or in fast food talk you get what you pay for.
