While sitting in class I ponder about my future. I'm surrounded by teachers and students, teachers who want to teach and teachers who really don't find a care to teach and students who are willing to learn and some who are not. At this point in my life I decided I want to help children out with education and life period. Speaking as a student, I believe that we need teachers to do what there suppose to do and that is teach. More and more teachers are getting away with just giving grades or just giving busy work. As a  result, students including myself are not receiving the knowledge they are suppose to get when they are in school. Teachers all over the world have different methods of teaching, however, that doesn't excuse the fact that scores are low and there are more and more dropouts just in United States. Teachers should gesticulate with their students instead of barraging them with work. It makes me livid because we came to school to learn but we get nothing and then we're to blame when the scores aren't right.   On the other hand, its not always the teachers' fault. Sometimes, Its the students fault for not learning or getting the tools they need for life. I believe it goes back to a place you call home. As my teacher Mrs. Day stated "if your home isn't putting education as a priority then education isn't a priority to you."  Therefore, the teacher should more so look at the parent or guardian other than the student. However, you are your own person and you can distinguish yourself from the others and make a way for yourself. Many people have went on with their life without anyone to support them.  In contrary, teachers should understand that that's how life is now. Even though its not their problem in actuality. I'm saying all this to say we all have to change to get better in life.

  1. I agree with you. Specifically speaking, I have had MANY students excel with little home support and be very successful. But just think, if you don't have the support and home AND you don't care, your odds of succeeding are at a disadvantage. I have learned to accept that fact that while I care for each of my student's educations, I realize that you cannot force anybody to learn, and ultimately, it will be their lives to live. I will do everything in my power to teach every student I am in charge of and support them no matter the situation. I will never give up on any student. But we ALL are going to have to step up to be successful- students, teachers, parents, the community- everybody!

  2. I disagree with you jessica.I think he was right for looking out for our nation. In the bible there are alot of stories when a entire city was destroyed due to lack of order. I think he is just trying to keep and retain order.

  3. I understand what you are saying but there is a time and place for everything, That was not the time nor the place. He is making a problem and creating racket just by saying that. I for a fact know he has homosexual customers and I say again that makes the restaurant a uncomfortable place to be because he is judging.
